About me:
Hello,
I'm a self-taugh photographer. Started with a 35 mm film camera more than 10 years ago. I have tried slide and print film (color and b&w) to the point that I can be consistent using them. I use Pentax equipment since is accessible and you can find it at reasonable prices. I have also tried medium format with Russian cameras (Kiev 60 and 88). When digital photography came around I discovered the convenience of shooting a lot of pictures without the cost of developing and printing, and have sticked to it. My favorite subjects are portraits and sports, i'm around these a lot thus it comes natural to try to create a memory of them through the lens. Currently I'm experimenting with studio lighting. I have had the experience and pleasure of working as a freelance photographer for a newspaper and this gave me more exposure to different events and challenging circumstances, and at the end became a great experience (and made good friends too)!
My real job is to be a university professor (my area of specialization is biomechanics), and in my spare time I like the outdoors, camping, sports, to learn other languages, and about other cultures, the internet, social networks, among other things.
Thank you for visiting, and drop me a line if you feel like doing so....
